Removal of Port 26 support
...or, Help! Why can't I send email??

We are in the process of making some changes to our mail servers that may impact the way your computer or smartphone sends email. We no longer use port 26 as a workaround way for your email client to talk to the SMTP servers. The new replacement is port 587, which is an accepted industry standard for SMTP clients who need to bypass ISP spam prevention measures to send email. This change will allow us to continue to keep your email as secure as possible while providing the best possible service.

To help you idenify whether your email settings need to be updated, we offer a quick way to verify your email settings. Find your version below for helpful instructions and screenshots.

If you have problems or questions, or simply don't feel comfortable changing these settings, please don't hesistate to give us a call at 260-2500, option 1, and we can help you!

Thank you for your cooperation! We are happy to have you as our customer!

All other email clients (and smartphones!):

Locate your account settings and find the section related to outgoing or SMTP servers. In this section there should be an option for changing the port. If this is not a separate option, you may find a number appended to the server name, ie mail.mydomain.com:587. If this is the case, and the appended number is already 587, you're set! If not, change the number to 587 and restart the software or phone. The settings should then take effect.

If in doubt, you can send a test email to support@tkfast.com with "please reply" in the subject and a tech will reply to you as soon as possible to verify you can send email with your settings.
